More about your teachers

Ekta

Ekta Minocha of Poornatvam Yoga, holding a yoga pose in the middle of a lush, green forest path.

Ekta Minocha of Poornatvam Yoga has been teaching yoga for the past ten years. What initially began as a pursuit for peace gradually evolved into a deeper inquiry for her.

She was drawn to study yogic texts and be close to people who live the yogic way of life. She feels living close to the mountains has brought many flavours into her life’s palette.

She teaches a practise of Embodied Yoga which is rooted in the philosophy of non-dualism – “a unity between all aspects of life” and recognises the inherent completeness in ones natural state of being. This movement practise is more about arriving into the presence of the body rather than using it to perform.
