Social Media Detox for Peace, Stillness and Clarity – Episode 27

Recently I took a complete day off without even turning on the internet on my phone. No social media, no emails, no messages. IT. FELT. AMAZING. I knew I had to share the experience with you all.

The Feel Good Factor. Episode 27. Portion of extended palm with open fingers. Vertical iphone with screen facing towards the camera, floating above the palm. Blurred water body (possibly a lake) in the background. Social Media Detox for Peace, Stillness and Clarity.

A total disconnection from the digital world is something we all intend to do at some point, but rarely ever get around to it. Join me in my social media detox journey.

Recently I took a complete day off without even turning on the internet on my phone. No social media, no emails, no messages. IT. FELT. AMAZING. I knew I had to share the experience with you all.

In this episode, I’ve spoken about:

  • Why it’s such a good thing to take a break from the digital world
  • What we can do in the freed up time
  • How an internet and social media detox has the potential to greatly benefit us

Since the time I posted this episode, I’ve been taking mindful breaks from the digital world once a week. I intend to continue practicing this regularly. Possibly even increase the disconnection to more than one day a week. I hope listening to my thoughts and experiences will inspire you to do the same.

“Disconnecting from the world, and checking in with yourself. Being with yourself. It really, really calms you, makes you still and gives you a lot of peace of mind.”
